“reduce the power of confusion…”

Life does not consist mainly—or even largely—of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the
storm of thoughts that is forever blowing through
one’s head.
Mark Twain

Maybe it is not possible to silence the voices inside your head that will not shut up for a minute but are constantly busy presenting at least forty-three sides to every story and filling you with doubt or regret. You can, however, reduce the power of confusion by remembering that every thought that fleets across the mind is merely a string of words and set of imaginary images that have no reality. That’s deep.
